Can you give me why you think Stephen Wimsatt who married 1st to Margaret
"Peggy MELTON and 2nd to Mary ISABEL WHEELER is the son of Stephen WIMSATT
and Mary LOWE?

I have not seen any clues to lead me to believe he was son of Stephen
WIMSATT and Mary LOWE.

I have him as the son of Raphael WIMSATT and Susanna CISSELL. Will explain
my reasons in this letter.

Mary Isabel WHEELER on 28 Mar 1864, Nelson County, KY

Elizabeth WIMSATT (DOWNS) was a daughter of Raphael WIMSATT and Susanna
CISSELL.

Walter Downs 1791 d. Aug. 28,1869 Nelson Co. s/o John Downs and Nancy
Harper married Teresa Wimsatt May 5, 1818 ,Nelson County, KY written consent
Raphael Wimsatt,( bond....Apr. 20, 1818 Nelson Co.)

Stephen WIMSATT according to my records was also a son of Raphael WIMSATT
and Susanna CISSELL.
