One problem I have is that I have no approximate dates of birth or death on
Richard Ballard. Nor do I have his parents or siblings. If Richard Ballard
died after 1801 and before 1814, then I don't see a problem with his widow
marrying William Lush, , but you pose another probable scenario, that may
work better.

I also don't have date of death of Mary Brown who married Charles Greenwell,
but I do have Charles Greenwell dying about 1810, so his widow could have
married William LUSH, also your scenario works better because Charles
Greenwell died in Washington County, KY and if Mary BROWN GREENWELL Married
William LUSH that was also in Washington County, KY. I think your scenario
is probably more correct. I think I'm going to move William Lush Sr. as
marrying Mary BROWN (GREENWELL).

I have always thought there was likely a mistake in thinking Mary Thompson
married William LUSH, but I agree with you. Open to comments, if anyone has
problems why William LUSH could not have married Mary BROWN(GREENWELL) let
me know, otherwise I'm going with Dave's suggestion.

I seriously doubt that Mary Thompson that married William Lush was Arnold
John Greenwell's widow. She married Richard Ballard 27 Sept 1801 in Nelson
Co.
The Mary Greenwell that married William Lush was Mary Brown Greenwell widow
of Charles Greenwell b.1769 died bet 1803 & 1812.
