Norma, don't think I can help on the Walker/Wathen mystery. However, on
a hunch, I check the History of Catholicity in Kentucky and the Catholic
priest in the St. Catherine's area spelled his name Ganihl vs Ganilh:
Father Anthony Ganihl.
