Hi John,
I had this in my data on Elizabeth Guibert, have you seen it?

Maryland Marriages, 1634-1777, Maryland Marriages, 1634-1777, Page 100
Jones, Thomas, son of Capt. Thomas Jones of Liverpool,
15 Oct 1751, Elizabeth Guibert, dau. of Joshua Guibert of St. M. Co.
3-SO-4

One more question...
this Dr. Wm Muir was he by any chance from the Muirs of Dorchester Co., MD?

Thanks,
Shirley Middleton

Hi. Sorry for the belated response. Sarah Muir was Sarah (Neale)
Muir--daughter of James Neale (d. circa 1750--53) and Elizabeth
Guibert. She was the first wife of Dr. William Muir. She died and
his second wife was Elizabeth Locke.

Sarah (Bagley?) Guibert Bruce Yates seems to have been an interesting
person. I have a lot of information about her--of course, not here.
I can send it if you would like.

Anyway, she did sell a slave to her grandson, James Neale (b. circa
1750 and d. in SMC circa 1810-11) several years before her death.
And, you are correct, she did not mention him in her Will. John D.
