Thanks for your note.
I have done no original research on this family, but according to Maryland Genealogies, A Biographical Dictionary of the Maryland Legislature, and an abundance of other sources, George Calvert who m. Elizabeth Doyne was the son of William Calvert and Verlinda Graves.
I agree with David's response to you--that you ensure the Historical Society will be open before you make the trip. You can call them at 301-475-2467.
William C. Schrader has done much work on the Calvert family. I haven't corresponded with him for years. He was involved in the creation of this page: http://www.ole.net/~maggie/trimble/calvert.htm
You'll notice at the page that he lists: 8. Cecilius Calvert b 29 June 1791, Culpeper Co.,VA d 24 Aug 1854 Trimble Co., KY
............................................................+ Penelope Reno b 19 Mar 1795 KY, d aft 1870; married abt 1814 KY
Penelope Reno was a daughter of Zela Reno and Mary Chinn who are my husband's ancestors.
Anyway, suggest you try to get in contact with Mr. Schrader. His work was very good.
Linda Reno

Dear Linda Reno, I was told that you are very helpful with questions and am wondering if you be of assistance to me. The above George Calvert I am looking for proof of. He was the son of William Calvert b 1642 (Eng)d. 1682
(Maryland) and Elizabeth Stone. Do you know of any info that could prove he was their son? Also I am coming to St. Mary's next Saturday-any place you might suggest I do searching? I will also be going to Annapolis to the state archives. Thank you, Mary
