Don,

I don't have dates of birth or dates of marriage. Maybe Linda Reno does.

here are all of my notes:

Children of ELIZABETH NOTTINGHAM and JOHN WHEATLEY are:
i. JOHN3 WHEATLEY.
ii. THOMAS WHEATLEY.
iii. FRANCIS WHEATLEY.
iv. ANNE WHEATLEY, b. Aft. 1703.

John Wheatley of St. Mary's County gives his wife's
name as Elizabeth in his will(14:388). Other
researchers have noted that his wife was Winefred
Horn evidencing the following -

On 5 Apr 1682, 100 acres called Maiden's Lott were
patented to one Winefred Horn; and on 4 Aug 1685 the
land was transferred to her then husband, John
Wheatley of Calvert County, Md. (Provincial Land Ofice
Patent 21:405) and NS&B:371.

Are the Elizabeth and Winefred one and the same
person?

Lastly, I have seen Winefred and Winifred as alternate
spellings for the given name of John's wife. Which one
is correct.

Darth Miller

According to my files, John Wheatley (son of John Wheatley who d. 1659) m.
first, Winifred Horn, daughter of Edward Horn and his wife Winifred and
second, Elizabeth Nottingham (daughter of Thomas Nottingham who d. 1713).

Linda Reno
