Randy, Good fine. But that sure puts a hole in my theory. Sure wish that census indicated whether they were married, single or otherwise. I would sure like to know who the mother of Alfred Turner Higgs is. It would be good to find another possibility. I don't want to discount this entirely because, I'm thinking it is possible that Sarah Turner Higgs was widowed and the census taker just recorder her as Sarah Turner. I am also curious about the Jim Turner, age 11. I don't have a Jim, age 11, I have John, in my records and the other children listed match up. Wonder if this could be mix up with John and Jim Higgs, the son of Sophia. Sure would be nice to figure this out. If this census data is correct, it sure would disqualify this Sophia. Any other ideas out ther???
