hi List, How does the The St. Mary's tract "Keene's Rest" get from William to Thomas Keene? William Keene moved to MD and his widow Anne moved back to VA in the Washington Parish Westmoreland Co Va/St. Paul's Parish, Stafford County Va area with her husband John Massey (b. bef 1637). From the MD land records, a Thomas Keene in 1738 was mentioned. William Keene's son may have moved to Dorchester Co. MD to live with his uncle John Keene (d 1726). I'm guessing from the court records that William Keene is related to Henry, Richard & Edward Keene of Calvert Co. Md. The Northumberland Keene's that moved from Kent County MD to Northumberland appear to be all accounted for. RDS: William Keene (Cain/Cane/Kain) (d.
1676) Immigrated 1667 w/Mary his wife from VA in 1667. Claimed land for wife Anne's time of service 1671 who was in England when Keene died. Widow Anne m. John Massey of Va. by 1682 when she came to MD to claim her thirds.
