Jacob Rice and Mary (ROWLAND) RICE had a two son's Jacob RICE who migrated
to Ogle Co., IL. and his brother Hon. Isaac RICE, their home in Washington
Co., MD. is explained to have been near where the Battle of Antietam took
place. Both migrated in the late 1830's to Ogle County, where they married
and had families. The Rice Cemetery Project started in 1997 with (0)
tombstones standing, trees were removed, brush was cut, and in June 2000
there were (11) tombstones standing again in the Cemetery. (11) more a
being placed back in the Cemetery this year making the total stones so far
(22)... The two RICE mention above are buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt.
Morris Township, Ogle Co., IL. and Plainview Cemetery, Mt. Morris, Ogle Co.,
IL.. The Rice Cemetery, Mt. Morris Township, Ogle Co., IL, include family
members, friends and neighbors. The last burial was 1891 David RICE. The
first was 1839 Mary wife of JOHN RICE. Two different links can be seen at
