In the 1850 Washington Co., MD Census, my husband's gr-gr-grandparents are listed as confectioners on Franklin Street. According to an old plat map I have, they would have been situated right where Prospect Street is on the north side of Franklin Street. Prospect Street ended on the south side of Franklin Street then. The family is listed in Household #150.

In Household #154 The Rimleys are listed and in the margin of the census, it indicates "Tavern Keeper". There are 24 people listed for this household, which I am "assuming" is a tavern/hotel. Does anyone on the list know where the Rimley place would be by today's location?
