It worrys me you are titling your book so quickly. "Reeder's in Maryland"
Maryland may be incorrect. Reeder may be incorrect. 1st,of your post,
in
1771,Simon Reeder, 'of Montgomery Co" bought land in Fredrick Co,Md.
Montgomery Co,where? Pa? Old Philadelphia Co,Pa? 1776 was the year
Montgomery Co and Washington Co,Md were cut from Fredrick Co,Md. 1771
Fredrick Co,Md was everything north, and west of n Wash DC. Everything
west of a line nearly north of Washington DC [EAST OF Westminster, now
Carroll Co,Md. And Simon sometimes is
a Germanic 1st name. If so,the Reeder spelling could be ?
1791,the Jesse Reeder land was in Washington Co,Md. When was any county
cut from the western portion of the 1776 Washington Co,Md. I think
Washington Co extended
west,in 1791,at least to Hancock,Md. Maryland's a mile and a half wide
at Hancock.
Less than 2 miles from Va [WV] to s Pa there.
You don't say who Simon Reeder bought from, but the good lands of current
Washington
Co were long occupied by 1771.
Are you expecting to find tombstones?
