Dear Washington County genealogists,
Casper Revenaugh(Rabenough) lived in Washington County
from 1770 to 1784 on a tract of land named White Oak Grove
in the Jerusalem and Upper Antietam Hundreds. He bought the
land from Conrad Hogmire and sold the land to Daniel Reynolds
(Renolds).
Casper and his family attended the Old Reformed Church in
Funkstown(A daughter Eva Catherine was baptised there in 1774).
Can anyone give me more information on Casper and his
family or where White Oak Grove would be located today?
Revenaugh was spelled various ways: Rabenough, Ravenaugh,
Ruebenach, Ruevennach(the latter two in the church records),
etc. Casper's wife's name was Catharine, and they had another
daughter named Anna Mary, and possibly a son named John. John
married a Catherine Barnhart.
Thank you.
