Thanks for posting this, as it was of interest to others, also. I just
found Wilson Avey (W.A) Carroll, Elizabeth (E. Virginia) listed in the 1920
Census for Smithsburg, Washington Co., MD, along with 2 daugthers (Naomi and
Esther J.) . Thought this might help you narrow your search for his
obituary. I will see what I can find in the 1930 Census, which should help
further narrow it down.
