In the Newspaper Herald & Torch Light, Hagerstown Maryland
dated Jul 07 1887, the following death notice....

STEWART - on Tuesday June at the residence of his son in law H.F. Lehman,
this county (Washington county), Wm Stewart in his 86th year.

Same newspaper
dated Feb 16 1876, the following death notice.....

William B. Stewart, son of Wm Stewart, of Ringgold, Washington County MD
died in Savannah Georgia, on the 26th of January, of typhoid fever.

He was 35 years, 2 months and 25 day old, a jeweler by trade
and has been working in the south for several years spending
the warm months at his home here each year with his parents.
He was a master mechanic and a thorough gentleman.
He served a short apprenticeship with Mr. Levi Steel of Hagerstown.

His remains arrived in Hagerstown on the 7th of February,
through Adams Express company and were buried at Frantz's new
Mennonite church at Ringgold, on Tuesday, the 8th where a large
concourse of friends and acquaintances attended.

Can anyone suggest a library or historical society that would have copies of
old newspaper obituaries for Washington County? I would like to get a copy
of an 1887 obit. for William B. Stewart who lived around Leitersburg in
Washington Co. Thanks for any suggestions!
