Lovina Welch/Walch married Benjamin Palmer in Hagerstown on April 14 , 1844.
Lovina's father was a Methodist Minster we assume in Hagerstown or the
surrounding Washington County area.

The 1880 census notes that Lovina was born in Va. and both her parents were
born in Va. Benjamin and Lovina moved to Ohio from Hagerstown between 1844-48
in 1880 where living with her sister in Hamilton County, Oh. after living in
Wyandot County in 1850 and Seneca County from 1860 to 1870.

Any suggestions as how we can obtain information of Rev. Welch's existance
from Washington County records? We have found no 1800-1850 census records for
a Welch in the Maryland/Virginia region which matches this family profile.
