There was a good book printed in 1983 about the C & O Canal. It contains
pictures, history and the mention of many men associated with the canal.

"Home On The Canal" by Elizabeth Kytle. Printed by Seven Locks Press,
Publishers, P. O. Box 72, Cabin John, MD 20818 [ISBN 0-932020-13-5] The
price on the jacket at the time of release was $19.95
The book is well done with 57 photographs and 287 pages.
