The plan you are considering for a regional genealogical center is a
wonderful idea for all persons in Maryland and surrounding states. I have researched
in the Court House, the Library and in the LDS Library here in Ellicott City.
One day I hope to give many books of interest to a library where researchers
are interested in New England families, New York State history, Virginia
History and Maryland History.
The last time I was in Hagerstown Library, I wondered to myself if
they could accept my collection due to the lack of shelf space.
I will be interested in following the progress of your committee.
