John,
Your Elizabeth Rohrer (1778 - 1828) who married Daniel Rench was a sister of my Magdalena Rohrer (1791 - 1875) who married Samuel Rohrer (1787 - 1862).
Elizabeth and Magdalena were two of seven daughters (no sons) of Martin Rohrer, d. 1806, one of the early settlers of Washington (then part of Frederick) County. See Scharf's "History of Western Maryland," Vol II, pages 1053/1054 for an obituary of Magdalena that mentions her family's "large connection, extending among the Hammonds, the Renches, and the Newcomers." In that regard, your Daniel Rench and Christian Newcomer, another of the sons-in-law of Martin, d. 1806, were the executors of his will.
For more, feel free to reply privately so as not to tie up the NG.
Thanks and regards,
Mike Rohrer
