Subject: Re: [MDWASHIN] marriage license fees prior to 1850`

Thanks so much. I have another question, I had been seeking marriage and
birth records in Cecil and/or Baltimore County for about 1860. The Historical
Society which I contacted could find no records and stated the 1898 Civil
records data. Would they have had access to the Marriage License files and possibly
have looked there too? The marriage record I am seeking would be Lutheran, I
believe.
Our Washington/Allegany County records for marriages and baptisms have been
found at the St. Michael's Frostburg and the Catholic Church in Clearspring,
thus no problem.
Our other problem is burial records, both Catholic and Protestant pre 1898
and post 1850 in Allegany and Washington Counties. Any thoughts or routes would
be appreciated.
