If you have access to Ancestry.com you can look up The Herald and Torchlight
which was the only paper in Washington County during that time (that I'm
aware of) there could be others but that's the only one I know about....if
you don't have ancestry.com it's possible that they may be on film at the
Washington County Library and you could ask at your library about getting a
loaner copy.
