In the Smithburg Cemetery at Smithburg, MD there are two David Wests,
and there are burials in the Church of Brethern Graveyard, in
Brownsville: William T. and wife Ida C and daughter Mary Katie,
Henrietta and Martha E. both wives of James West, William and wife
Elizabeth West. William died at age 82 in 1901. These are in Vol. III
of the cemetery records. From Estate Distributions 1778-1835 in 1810
John West was an executor for the estate of Jeremiah Hayes. In 1833
there was an estate distribution for David West. George Fague was adm.
Distribution went to Benjamin, Abel, Isaac Robertson and wife Sarah,
George Fague and wife Nancy. From newspaper extractions: there is a
marriage between Elizabeth West and Daniel Brewer, Jan. 25, 1820. Dec.
16, 1824 Matthew West married Prudence Hathorn, July 19, 1828, Eliza
West of Clear Spring married William Reese of Hancock.

The earliest in the marriage index of 1799-1860 for males is Matthew and
Prudence above.

Hopefully someone can connect with one of these surnames to help you
establish families and sort. There are other cemetery volumes, I have 2
and 3. Good hunting.
