Thanks for replying. I will check out that cd. The only info I have and
can prove is on this page of my site. Hope someone out there can help.

Betty, I think you're referring to J. Thomas Scharf's History of Western
Maryland. I purchased the CD Rom version from Heritage Books because it
was more reasonably priced than either the reprint or the original.
There is also a Williams History of Washington County Maryland that is
sort of a standard too.

There are no Mackey entries in Morrow and Morrow's Distribution of
Estate Accounts, Washington County Maryland 1778-1835. If you fall into
a different time period, you probably need to work in the courthouse or
on film if there is microfilm available. There are no Mackey entries in
Morrow & Morrow's Washington County Maryland Marriages 1799-1860. There
are however, some McKee and McKey entries. Willow Bend books has a very
good research guide that is reasonably priced if you are just beginnning
your research in Washington County. I found it last year and wish I
would have found earlier. It has been invaluable to me.

There are a series of eight cemetery records. I checked Vol. II and
III, the ones I own, and there are no Mackey entries in either of them.
Perhaps someone who has all of the volumes will do a lookup for you. I
hope others will make suggestions to you. I am not familiar with the
Beavercreek Cemetery, but I am sure someone will know something about
it. This is a good list with helpful folks.

Good luck!
