Josephine: I looked up all the name on PROGENY (S.A.R.) and only found
Samuel McKinsey, wife Mary, buried at Springfield, Mahononing, Ohio, served
as a private in Pennsylvania service.I don't know if there is a MILITIA
site or not, most of these people joined after the Rev. War, usually you can
find info about them in the County records. Example I have four S.A.R. and 3
MILTIA in my family all are listed in Pa. records. Hope this helps a little.

Washington County MD 1776-1783? I have a page from the book by Henry C.
Peden. Is there more information about the men listed in the book? I am
interested in 4 brothers Aaron, Daniel, Gabriel and Samuel McKinsey. They
were in Capt. Charles Clinton's Co., all privates in the militia. Two were
7th class, one 4th class, and one 2nd class (What does that mean?). I do
not have the reference pages for this book, only pages 232-233. What does
Ref: M-245, and A-1146 stand for? What type of service did Capt. Charles
Clinton's participate in? Any information would be appreciated.
