Roger - here's a bit more from the marriage records:

Peter married Susannah Moyer 7/3/1813
There are also some early Hose marriages that might be connected to this
family
George married Nancy Holmes 5/6/1799
Phillip married Margaret Whoy 10/18/1806
Jacob married Elizabeth Fauckler 2/7/1818

There is an estate distribution for Peter Hose:

HOSE, Peter. Adm. Peter, Phillip. 7/24/1830; Magdalena Baker's child,
Mary Carl, Catherine Price, and Elizabeth Needy. There are a couple
distributions separately to Phillip. And in 1831 Elizabeth Needy is
excluded from another distribution. Peter is not mentioned other than
as an administrator.

There is an estate distribution for George Hose 10/18/1825. David was
the adm. and there are 7 un-named heirs.

1/10/1827 Susannah Hose is one of 12 heirs to John Moyer. [let me know
if you want those names] On 1/11/1831 Peter and Susannah Hose (and her
siblings I presume) are part of a group of Moyer heirs to Ann Kepler.
There is also an estate for Susannah Moyer 1/29/1833 and the heirs
include Julianna Hose, as well as Susannah's siblings. I believe this
may be her mother's estate and Susannah was deceased. Is Juliana a
daughter? She is the only Hose heir.

From Wright's Marriages and Deaths from the Newspapers of Allegany and
Washington County MD 1820-1830
The Torchlight January 31, 1828
"Died in Hagers Town on Thursday last, Peter Hose in the 83rd year of
his age.

Maryland Herald July 11, 1820
"Chancery Case - Thomas Eaker and Elizabeth his wife, John Needy, George
Needy, Margaret Needy and Elizabeth Hose, heirs at law of Isaac Needy
dec'd. vs Henry Needy, Valentine Wagner and Polly his wife, John Wagely
and Catherine his wife, Margaret Hose and Catherine Hose. The bill
states that Isaac Needy on 7 May 1803 made and executed his will and
soon after he died leaving above named complainants and defendants his
children and heirs. In his will he devised all his prop to wife
Elizabeth Needy to hold so long as she remained a widow. She died
without remarrying in 1819. Henry Needy, Valentine Wagner who m. Polly
dau of Isaac and Polly his wife and John Wagely who m. said Catherine
and Catharine his wife, res. out of the state of Md. "

Maryland Herald March 27, 1821
"Married same day [Thursday last] by same [Rev. B. Kurtz] Conrad Watson
to Miss Elizabeth Hose."

Maryland Herald Dec. 4, 1821
"Married Sunday last by same [Rev. B. Kurtz] John Daniel to Miss
Catherine Hose."

Maryland Herald September 17, 1822
"Jacob Hose, living about 10 miles from Hagers Town offers reward for
apprentice to boot and shoe-making business named Levi Price, in the
16th year of his age." [see Catherine Price above - perhaps a relative?]
