Family History Talk: Main Family of Middletown Valley

Glenn A. Main, Jr. will give a talk at the regular meeting of the Frederick
Co. Genealogical Society (FRECOGS) on the “Meet My Main Family of Middletown.”
Glenn will present his genealogical information with stories from this
well-known family that includes among many others, Charles Frederick Main of Main’s
Ice Cream fame, and Charles V. Main, retired Frederick City Police Chief, a
resident of Homewood at Crumland Farms.

Come hear about this family, including his grandfather, Clinton Eugene Main
who a Middletown trolley station master in the 1930’s for the Hagerstown and
Frederick Railway Co. Glenn Main has been able to assemble over 20,000 family
relations in his computer, due to his learning sound genealogical research
methods and with the help of another well-known Frederick resident and
genealogist, Margaret Myers.

Lecture is open to the public at no cost on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 1:00
PM – Homewood at Crumland Farms – 7407 Willow Road, Frederick, MD. Please
park in the off the 3rd driveway on the left off Willow Rd then enter the main
