Karen,
There are only 3 PITZER grooms in the index which runs from 1799-1860:
Wm/Cath. KITCHENS 11/11/1837
Mathias/Sus. DAVIS 8/1/1838
Geo. I/Sr. BENDER 2/4/1846
There is an Annie M. WINTER, but her marriage date to George W. ANDERSON
is late 9/17/1855

In Myers' Marriage Licenses in Frederick County MD 1778-1810 are these
entries:
Feb. 4, 1808 WINTER, George to WHITE, Magdalena
Dec. 21, 1797 WINTER, John to PROUGH, Caty

From Estate Distributions 1778 - 1835
WINTER, Ann. Adm. John HOOVER, 5/4/1815. John, Daniel, Andrew, John
HARBAUGH, Conrad FLORA, Charles RIDENOUR heirs, Susannah, Catherine,
Margaret HOOVER each 70.10. 10 3/4 [pounds, shillings, pence]

WINTER, GEORGE. Adm. John, Martin RIDENOUR. n.d. [no date but it falls
in the records between 1806-1816.] 1/11 to widow 5.9.81/2l each child
5.9.81/2. there were several distributions with 1/11 to the widow and
10 children each receiving a distribution. There were not named in the
distributions, but match up with the numbers.

Morrow and Morrow published an index of Washington Co MD Wills in 1977
and they were also in Western Maryland Genealogy Magazine in abstract
form beginning with Vol. 9 in 1993. You can also bring in a microfilm
to your nearest LDS Family History FHL mf 14644 which is a General Index
to Probate REcords 1777-1850. Then you have the state archives and the
court house if you're on site.

I am particularly interested in learning whether or not anyone has been successful in identifying the husbands of two of his daughters:
