Evelyn R. Wilhide
MYERSV1LLE, Md. — Evelyn R. Wilhide, 90, of Myersville, died Friday,
April 28, 2000 at Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born July 27, 1909, in MyersviIle, she was the daughter of the late John
Emmert and Arlepha V. Dusing Shepley.
Her husband, Paul S. Wilhide, died in 1968.
She retired from Myersville Post Office where she was postmaster for many
years.
She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Myersville.
She is survived by a stepdaughter; Doris C. Dutrow of Baltimore; a
sister; Helen Grimes of Frederick, Md.; eight stepgrandchildren and
several step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Paul Nelson Wilhide, and a
stepdaughter, Janice R.
Tinney.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion United
Methodist Church, Main Street, Myersville. The Rev. Norman D. Kemmerer
will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul*s Lutheran Cemetery in
Myersville.
The family requests the onussion of flowers. Donations may be made in
memory of Mrs. Wilhide to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 299,
Myersville, MD 21773.
Arrangements are by Ricketts Funeral Home in Myersville.
