Might anyone have any information on a SARAH "SALLIE" MCNEAL HURTMAN, her spouse or heirs. Sarah and family lived in Maryland probably in the Hagerstown area in the 1880'sand 1890's and had one daughter that I know of Annie A. Hurtman, probably born in the 1870s. Sarah's parents were James B. McNeal and Elizabeth Farmer McNeal from VA and Sarah would have been born in VA either in 1844 or 1850.

AM also searching for infromation on heirs of Sarah's sister, MARY MCNEAL EDWARDS married to a J.F. EDWARDS. In 1880 they lived in Clear Spring, in 1882 in Williamsport and in 1908 in Downsville all in MD/Washington CO. Am not sure if there were any children. Mary was born about 1845 in Virginia...probably in Augusta CO.

AND lastly am searching for an OBITUARY and BURIAL PLACE for their father James B. McNeal Sr. who died on November 30,1882 either in Sarah's or Mary's home probably. All I know is he died in Washington Co. after a bad fall. He went from VA to MD. upon the death of this wife Elizabeth Farmer McNeal a year or so before. She is buried in New Market VA, but his body was not taken back there to be buried with her and no one seems to know where he was buried. He was of Scotch descent and a Mennonite.
