Hello All - I am new to the list. I am Eden Golshani
from Greenbelt, MD. I am tracing back my roots, most
of which end up in Allegany County. But one ancestor
goes back to Washington County. His name is Augustine
Wade and he served in the Revolutionary War.
We have him on the census in 1790 (pg 26-47)
http://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/md/washington/1790/pg0016.txt
We also have records from the muster rolls of Maryland
(name spelled Augustin - no 'e') and proceedings about
his pension. It seems he died abt 1791 - only
receiving a year and a half of his pension which
started 1789.
We know of him also from his son, Henry Wade (abt
1788- abt 1870). But Augustine's wife, Ellenor is
claimed to have lived to age 99.
I am looking for any other details such as Augustine's
parents, birth info, other children besides Henry,
wife's info, etc.
Anyways, that's just a basic background of this info,
I wanted to see if this rang any bells with any folks
in Washington County research.
I appreciate your help!
-Eden
