In 1783 Tax Assessment for MD, David Miller owned a good bit of land but it
was located in present-day Washington Co. Even though Allegany Co. did not
become a county until 1791, the area mentioned in the 1783 tax assessments
remained a part of Washington Co. You can check it out at the following
