Homewood at Crumland Farms in their Community Room right off the lobby. They are
located on 7407 Willow Rd. DIRECTIONS: The first exit after Beckleys motel left
off Route 15, approx. 2 miles north of Frederick.

GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH, GETTING STARTED AGAIN, AND
LEARNING NEW TRICKS AND RESEARCH TECHNIQUES

The Frederick County Genealogical Society, known as FreCoGS, is holding a Get
Started fair on Saturday, January 12, from 1 to 3 pm in the
chapel/multi-purpose room at Homewood at Crumland Farms. Members and experts
will be available at stations to help you with questions concerning census
records, old photographs, computer issues, land and church records,
organizational schemes, and other topics to help jump-start your research. Come
and find out how to get started or to tackle the issues that have your
genealogical research stalled, all in an informal atmosphere. Refreshments will
be served.

FreCoGS meets on the second Saturday of each month, September through June.
Most meetings are held at Homewood at Crumland Farms, but on occasion, meetings
are planned at other sites. Information about meetings is provided at
