I have a history of Margaret Hamburg and her family. Margaret's husband
named J.Conrad Hamburg was probably a brother to a Peter Hamburg.According
to Western Maryland Genealogy booklet. Vol.6.No. 1;the following was found
...JP'S bind Conrad Hamburg, orphan age 13 y last 10 Dec. to Frederick
Trump, farmer, until 10 Dec 1807, when age 17 y, Mother consents 20 April
1804. Wit Andw.Shriver. Jon Wampler (432).
In the same reference the following reference was found: JP'S bind
Peter Hamburgh, an orphan age 8 y last 25 Oct., with the consent of his
Mother, to Jacob Pepple ( surveyor/ silverer?) to age 21. 20 August 1805
Wit. Abm. Shriver;H.Kemp ( 492-3)
I have more information on the family of both J.Conrad and Peter
Hamburg.I will refer to my notes now but believe Frederick was a son of
Peter Hamburg. Frederick was a resident of Carroll County.
I live in Ellicott City,Maryland. I will be willing to share all
family history but would like to send the printed papers to you. Phone

I am searching for information on Margaret HAMBURG or HAMBURGH who resided
in Hagerstown, born about 1796, daughters: Elizabeth, Susan, and Jane (m.
Byers). I am trying to determine the names of Margaret's husband and other
children in order to, hopefully, make a connection to my family (Frederick
and Deborah (Hewitt) HAMBURG or HAMBURGH. According to the Herald & Torch
Light (5 Apr 1888), Margaret died 30 March 1888 at the age of 99 years. My
ancestor Frederick HAMBURGH was born 18 Jan 1813 and died 9 April 1862 and
was a hatter by trade. Thank you in advance for any assistance provided.
