I am passing through Washington Co this June in order to research George
Canode or Ann Mariah Canode, they were married in Washington County in the
late 1790s. They left Washington County for Ohio (Lancaster area). My
question is where is the best place to start my research after I arrive in
MD, i.e., Hagerstown court house, a genealogy society, church records, etc?
Any help would be appreciated.
