Joyce,
There are 13 In Vol. 7, 3 in Volume 3 and 34 in volume 2 in the index, There are 81 obits listed in Ridenour's Obit Locator and 29 entries in the Will and estate index. There are 33 grooms in the marriage license index and I didn't count brides. There are Brewers in the Kuhn Family Bible published in Fuller's Family Bible Records publishe din the Washington County Free library. I could be more helpful, I think if you narrow your target to specific people you are looking for. There's too many to keyboard all this stuff and there are probably more in the remaining four volumes of cemetery records as well as in other resources I have and others on the list could consult for you. If you let us know what your research problem is, we can do a better job of helping you.

Sandy,
There are seven volumes of Washington County Cemetery Records (Dale
Morrow). I've looked at Volumes II, III, and VII, the ones I own and can't
find any Shertzers in those volumes. Perhaps someone else on the list can
look to see if there are any in other volumes.
I checked Ridenour's Obituary Locator and the only Shertzer obit listed is
for J. M. Shertzer who died at age 69 and whose obit is the 12 May 1930
Daily Mail. You can contact the Washington County Free Library to obtain a
copy of the obit. I checked the Will Index by Morrow & Morrow and there are
no Shertzer listings. I also checked the marriage license index by Morrow &
Morrow and could find no Shertzer grooms or brides.

I don't think so because the book I'm looking at right now (a genealogy of
Hoovers from Washington Co.) says "Preacher Stouffer was John Stauffer (d.
1836), since his son Abraham (1782-1857) was not chosen to the ministry
until 1839." It goes on to say "It is important to note here that we believe
Preacher/Bishop John Stauffer's father was Christian Stauffer who imported
in the ship Muscliffe Galley, taking the qualifications December 22, 1744.
He had three sons and one daughter Barbara, and resided at Warwick and
Donegal Townships, Lancaster County, where he died 1762 intestate."
As I'm not actually researching the Stouffers, I can't help you much more
than what is right here. I'm actually interersted in finding where Casper
Shertzer is buried, and I believe he was affiliated with these Stouffers and
the Ringgold area, which is why I would like to find burial records for that
church.
Good luck!

Sandy,
Do you know if the Ringgold Stouffers descended from Abraham Stouffer of
Falling Spring, Stouffertown (Chambersburg), PA?

Does anyone know if there is a record anywhere of who is buried at the
Stouffer (or Stauffer) Mennonite Church in Ringgold? I would also be
interested in knowing if there is a record of burials at Welty's Church.
Thanks for any help.
