This does not answer your question..perhaps in working backwards you may
find JOHN HERSHEY.From book of Snively-Snavely the following on page 817.
Fannie Snavely born 1835 married HENRY HERSHEY. Both were descendants of
CHRISTIAN HIRSCHI of Schangnau, Canton Berne, Switzerland. He, with some
700 Mennonite compatriots, was exiled in 1672. After some years in the
Palatinate, he emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1717, From him HENRY'S line is
unbroken through BISHOP BENTZ HERSHEY, CHRISTIAN,ISAAC and JACOB, Henry's
great grandfather.

Does anyone happen to have any information on Morris "Menno" Hershey born
abt 1839 and married to Malinda Matter? He was a son of John and Anna
Hershey with siblings: Anna, Elizabeth, Martin, Fanny, Priscilla, Lydia,
Leah, and Maria as they appear in the 1850 Derry Twp., Dauphin Co. census.
