In the 1783 worcester co. tax list (on worcester website)
there is a
John Davis, Beehive Ridge, 10 acres,
Notes: John Truitt for John Davis heirs, Acquango, p.9

I have no idea if this might be a clue/connection for you...I am attempting
to research siblings and parents of Daniel Davis, Sussex co & Monongalia
co...married to Luranah Hudson. Also noticed in mailing...a note about
early Truitts coming from Accomack co...I am going there to research...good
luck...barbara
