Interesting article but raises more questions. I have a John Cottman Purnell b oct. 1860 a little over a year from John Cottman's death. His parents were William Thomas "John" Purnell b 1815 and Elizabeth B.C. Cottman Purnell. They were both born in Worcester County and were buried St. Paul's Episcapal Churchyard, Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland. I am courious if anyone has the parents for Elizabeth B. C. Cottman and her relationship to this John Cottman. Thanks, Bill, Bellingham WA
