There really isn't any info on the Maddox family. This is what is in the paragraph pertaining to them:

"It seems that from the early 1900's or the end of world war one until the late 1920's prosperity flourished in this community. In the community more stores oppened. Grocery storesby Charles Holland and John Webb on Taylor Landing road, Clarence Hall, grocery and feed store on Route 12, north, extended: Willima Merritt on Onley road, Selby Pruitt grocery and dry goods in the store formerly owned by Rowley and Jones and Charles Maddox, who sold mostly seafood..."
