I just put together my Purnell Family Tree from other families' Rootsweb family trees, and then searched the message boards for Worcester County MD.

What surprised me was that Purnell was associated with so many other names on the boards - Selby, Brittingham, Johnson, Bowen, Fassit, etc, that were on my tree - suggesting a relatively few families. It would seem, therefor, that someone by now should have a fairly complete and accurate family tree intertwining these families.

In my preliminary tree, I'm under no illusion that it's anything but a guideline for research - there was considerable disagreement about dates names and places.

Am I right - does the definitive tree now exist?
