Would suggest you look at the two close by VA counties on the Eastern Shore, namely Accomack Co and Northampton Co. since these families were constantly migrating from VA to MD and back again. Site search at www.esva.net/ghotes would be one good place and another is www.espl.org (Eastern Shore Public Library site, Accomac VA) - scroll down on cover page and check out databases there for Miles as well as Mears to see if any of your names match up ...
