Nancy,

I did some checking in land records for Worcester Co., and found that the Jarman family and a George Truitt family were neighbors. They had a court settlement where George Truitt and his wife agreed to sell 50 acres of their 350 acres for 50 pounds. Along with your Jarman Truitt, I found a Truitt Jarman in a land record. Possibly related in some fashion. Also the Littleton surname is also found early in Worcester and Somerset counties. Seems the planters in the area liked to use their friends surnames as their childrens given names. It happens in my ancestors in Worcester and Somerset Cos.

I am not related to the families, but saw your post and thought I would check land records to see if there was a connection in that direction.

Good luck in your search.
