Hi Lisa,

I'm sorry I know nothing about Morris W. Fookes outside of the fact he is listed as being born in MD, and he died in 1847 in Knox Co. Ill. I know he married, in Ohio, a Olive Sweetser in abt. 1841. They had 3 children; Elizabeth, Adaline, and James. James went on to become my 3XGGrandfather. I have spent many years trying to make a connection to the Fooks family of Worchester Co, MD, but have been so far unable to make that connection. I did find an interesting discovery in another county with a Morris Roach, a possible connection and naming relative.

Catherine Roach married into the Fooks family of Worcester Co., a possible Grandmother in the Fooks line. It's but a long shot at this point as I have not been able to match Morris Roach with Catherine Roach.

Any information you might have on Morris Fookes would be wonderful. Or if you know of a connection from Fookes/Fooks to Roaches in MD.
