I am looking for the census listing for Nelson HALL. He was a Civil War
veteran born between 1841-43, son of Lorenzo Hall. He lost an arm in the
war but presumable returned to Maine (his father resided in Rockland). I am
curious to know if he was married by 1870 and what he did for work. He
married Rebecca Blake in 1874 and, by 1880, lived in St. George, Knox Co.
with his wife a step-son Sherman Blake HUPPER? (I don't know where the name
Hupper came from).

I am compiling information about his life for a book about Civil War
soldiers in Maynard, Massachusetts. He is buried here in town, along with
his wife, step-son, and 2 grandsons.
