Subject: SMITH family of Wilton and Weld

I am researching the family of Morrill P. SMITH for a friend. Found in 1860
in Wilton, 1870 in Weld. By 1900, Morrill has died and Susan R. is in Wilton
alone. In 1910, she is in Wilton with her daughter Annette also widowed and
back with her. Susan is not on the 1920, so has likely died, while Annette
is still in Wilton.

Morrill P. SMITH b. Epsom, NH, according to birth record of his dau.
Isabella. He was b. c1825. He married Susan R. before 1852. She was born
Jay, Maine, according to the same birth record. Susan's parents b. Mass.
Their children: Annett J. b. c1855, New Sharon, ME; Isabella Gray b. 1855
Lowell, MA m. Charles LEE ca 1883, Lowell, Middlesex, MA.; son Horace or
Convorse B. b. c1857, Windham, Maine; son Hanover P. b. c1861, Maine.

I have found a Morrill P. SMITH b. 28 Dec 1825 to James and Lydia, in
Dracut, Middlesex, MA. This conflicts with the Epsom, NH stated in
Isabella's birth record (also found in MA Vital Records).

Annette R. married Gardner HOYT, who had died by 1910. I find them in 1900
Lexington, Dawson Co, NE, where he is listed as a shepherd, b. ME to father
b. NH and mother b. ME. They married ca 1892.

I would like to hear from anyone with information about this family. Where
and when did Morrill P. die? Is he buried in Franklin Co? Same questions for
Susan. I would especially like to learn Susan's family name.

Thank you,

Marilyn in Michigan
