I have the following information in my files. I wonder if perhaps these two
Alices and Thomases are one in the same and somehow the dates were mixed up
in the translation? May I ask what makes you think that Alice may be
Frances' sister [not being rude..... being curious =) ] ....... and if this
IS my Alice, I wonder why she isn't listed as Mrs? (maiden name unknown, by
the way). Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
"Henry Stevens, sailed from London on the 20th of June 1635 to New England
on the "Defense" arriving on the 18th of July 1635. The Ship passenger
records label him as a mason, age 24.
Alice, his wife, age 22 came in the "Abigail" which sailed from London on
the 4th of May 1635 reaching New England on the 10th of July 1635. Also on
board the Abigail was one Thomas Stevens, age 12, who was probably Henry's
younger brother. See The Complete Book of Emigrants (1607- 1660) by P.W.
Coldham."
Maybe someone has the above book and could check this data - as I received
it secondhand.
