When I worked at our local Ramada Inn in the 80's, the national
inspector was Richard Widmark's brother(I think his name was Roy),
we were bad to play movie trivia among ourselves in the waitress
station,(it kept us sane), we knew he was the inspector but, not who he
was related to. anyway he heard us and came back and joined in, one of
the questions was about a movie Linda Darnell was in......
he knew the answer and more, we didn't know she was married to Richard
Widmark when she died, not only was it a house fire it was a suspicous
fire and he said Richard had never gotten over her, he won the game that
night,
by the way, we checked.....he really was Richard Widmarks brother, a
very nice man.
