My husband and I were talking about the May poll on the 1 st of May, [May Day] It was a big thing with us, we made baskets in school, out of construction paper, the teacher brought lots of flowers to school, at the end of the school day, we all got a bunch of flowers, and put them in the baskets we made. When we got home we put them on the door step of a person we liked. I always made one for my grandmother, and the nice lady down the street. We also had a May Poll at school, had large ribbons coming out of the top, and we all got a turns, holding on to the end of a ribbon and dancing around the May poll. Now I don't think they celebrate May Day at all, I think the only ones who celebrate "May Day" are the Communist. They have a big parade of their tanks, and other army vehicles and their marching army.
