Looking for info/birthplace/ancestors on Catherine & Bartholomew Fitzgerald
of Old Town.

1860 census p. 42 shows Bat age 27, Katherine age 30 & Abby age 2, living
with Florence & Hannah Haley & their two daughters, Ella & Hannah Haley.

1870 census reports Bart age 48 & Catherine age 40 living with 4 daughters -
Abby age 12, Mary age 10(?), Honoro (sp?) age 7, and Catherine age 3.
Gravestone shows 2 daughters died in childhood, Katie (Catherine?) & Lucy.
Both Bartholomew & Catherine were born in Ireland; all the children were
born in Maine.

This is Catherine's obit:
"The death of Mrs. Bartholomew Fitzgerald occurred quite suddenly Tuesday
after quite an extended illness. Her death was so sudden that her husband
who was working a short distance from the house could not reach her before
she died. She was about 75 years old. The funeral occurred Thursday forenoon
from the Catholic church and high mass was celebrated by Father Trudell.
There was a large attendance of friends at the funeral." Bangor Daily
Commercial, May 20, 1892.

Daughter Mary m. Dr. Bartholomew Kelleher of Orono about 1887.

There are apparently no parish records from this time period.
