I found that Samuel Staples and Susanna (Fairbanks) filed marriage intentions at Hampden ME 7 Jun 1806. The were married there, 6 Jul 1806, and they were both residents of Township No. 2 Range 1 (wherever that was!). Do you have birthdates for Samuel's siblings? - Jeanne
