Just a note to let you know that Shirley Scott has turned over the RootsWeb
MERRELL-L list to me. Shirley began the list in 1999, and has looked after
it ably ever since. I'm sure she would be pleased to receive a note from
you, and hearing that you have appreciated her efforts.

While we think it makes sense to have the two lists coordinated more
closely, Shirley and I both feel strongly that each list has a definite
identity and serves an important purpose. You might want to consider
subscribing to the digest version of both lists, and contributing to
both. Messages from the RootsWeb Merrill and Merrell message boards will
soon be "gatewayed" to the mailing lists, and vice versa, so that your
queries can reach an even wider audience, no matter where they originate.

If at any time you have questions, comments or suggestions about either
list, please let me know.
